    Sample itinerary

Nassau to the Exumas, seven nights

Your charter begins and ends in Nassau and heads south along the sheltered west side of the Exuma Cays: secluded anchorages, sandbars and quiet island bars on Bahamian time.

    1. Day1

      Nassau to Highborne Cay

A private driver meets you at the airport and brings you to the yacht for a welcome drink, tour and safety briefing. Sail to Highborne Cay to kayak or snorkel at Horseshoe Bay's 'Octopus Garden' reef, then enjoy sunset cocktails or dinner at the hilltop restaurant with 360-degree views.

Snorkel · Kayak · Sunset dinner
    2. Day2

      Norman's Cay & Shroud Cay

Snorkel the sunken plane wreck off Norman's Cay in about ten feet of water, now home to tropical fish and coral, and collect shells along the beach. In the afternoon, explore Shroud Cay's mangrove creeks by tender or paddle-board and climb to the Camp Driftwood lookout.

      Wreck snorkel · Mangroves · Paddle-board
    3. Day3

Compass Cay & Big Major Cay

Meet the famously gentle nurse sharks that gather at Compass Cay Marina, then sail on to Big Major Cay, better known as Pig Beach, where the island's swimming pigs come out to greet you. A great anchorage for the water toys.

Nurse sharks · Swimming pigs · Water toys
    4. Day4

Little Farmer's Cay & Staniel Cay

Swim with sea turtles in a protected bay, then loop back to Staniel Cay. Snorkel Thunderball Grotto, the underwater cave made famous by two James Bond films, and book dinner ashore at the Staniel Cay Yacht Club.

Turtles · Grotto snorkel · Dine ashore
    5. Day5

      Warderick Wells Cay

Headquarters of the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park, the oldest land-and-sea park in the Caribbean. Walk marked nature trails, hike Boo Boo Hill and add your signed piece of driftwood, and snorkel a sunken plane right beneath your mooring.

Hike · Snorkel · Marine park
    6. Day6

Pipe Cay, Shroud Cay & Allen's Cay

Endless sandbars and shallow turquoise water at Pipe Cay, a favourite with kiteboarders, then north to Allen's Cay to see the islands' protected rock iguanas on Leaf Cay beach.

      Sandbars · Kiteboarding · Iguanas
    7. Day7

      Allen's Cay to Rose Island

A longer sail of five to seven hours, ideal for trolling a line for tonight's dinner. Rose Island offers turtle snorkelling, secluded coves, four beaches and a hilltop hammock grove. Spend your last night in its quiet northern anchorage.

Fishing · Beaches · Final sunset
    8. Day8

      Return to Nassau

A short morning sail past Paradise Island and Atlantis back to the marina, arriving around noon, with a private car to take you on to the airport.
